Buzzy, healthy Flower Child will toast Uptown Dallas with full bar

Uptown Dallas is officially the healthiest place in Dallas, with the imminent arrival of Flower Child, the healthy fast-casual chain from Fox Restaurant Concepts.

The concept, which already enjoys lines out the door at its three other DFW locations in Inwood Village, Addison, and Preston-Royal, will open its highly-anticipated location at The Crescent, at 2101 Cedar Spring Rd.

According to a release, it’ll open in November.

Flower Child is the young, cheerful, hippie-ish member of Fox, the successful restaurant group that includes The Henry, which opened a location in Dallas in February 2019.

While its menu includes steak, chicken, and salmon, the restaurant is noted for having a wider-than-usual range of options for vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free.

Popular dishes include the Mother Earth bowl, a mixture of ancient grains, fire-roasted sweet potatoes with miso marmalade, portobello mushroom, fresh avocado, cucumber relish, pistachio pesto, an arugula and sprout salad, red pepper miso vinaigrette, and hemp seeds.

The Uptown location will be a little different from the rest. For the first time ever, Flower Child will have full-service bar capabilities—expanding its existing list of organic wine, local beer, kombucha, cold brew coffee and freshly-made lemonades to include unique craft cocktails and sangria on tap.

Not only is Flower Child Rosewood Court offering a bar program, it will have a new menu of shareable plates for those dining in the restaurant’s lounge area.

At 6,500square feet, this will be the largest Flower Child location in the Dallas area. In addition to its main dining room, it also has an outdoor patio and a private dining room.

Menu-wise, Flower Child Rosewood Court will offer a healthy and balanced dining experience, and will be open for lunch and dinner, seven days a week.

Menu categories include a daily soup; toast & hummus; salads; entrées; bowls; wraps and a kids menu. It all starts out veggie, but you can add protein to any dish, including all-natural chicken, sustainable salmon, grass-fed steak, and organic non-GMO tofu.

The Rosewood Court location is also striving to conserve and will offer juices made with extra fruits and vegetables from the menu’s main dishes.

Uptown easily has the biggest collection of healthy-type concepts in the city, with recent and coming-soon arrivals that include Mixt, Roti Mediterranean, Cava, and Unrefined Bakery.
